Our hospital lists

Your chosen hospital list stipulates which locations are available to you; however, the final decision is made by us unless there is an otherwise valid medical reason. Any locations that are not listed, are not covered by the policy. We will find the most appropriate location for you based on the consultant’s specialty, which will normally be within a thirty (30) mile radius of your home. All appointments must be pre-authorised before taking place; failure to obtain authorisation could result in you becoming liable for payment.

Ask for an open referral

If your GP thinks you should be referred to a specialist, ask them to write an open referral letter. Having an open referral will allow us to find the right consultant for you. We’ll give you a few options of local consultants who specialise in your condition, so you can make an informed decision about who you see, at a time that suits you.

Don’t forget to call us first

When you have a referral from your GP, it’s important to call us first to check that the appointment will be covered under your policy. If you go ahead with an appointment without checking with us, you may have to pay for it yourself.
